CONFERENCE ETHOS

The Platform for Retail Banking

Pakistan’s retail banking sector has no shortage of opinions. What it has lacked is a room — a single, senior, dedicated space where the people who run the industry sit together, examine where it is going, and speak plainly about what it will take to get there.

There is a great deal the industry can achieve when it is in the same room. Reset is that room.

WHY RESET

No platform existed in Pakistan dedicated purely to retail banking. Not a general banking conference. Not a fintech summit. A space focused entirely on the business of retail — where targeted product design, service quality, digital adoption, AI integration, customer experience, and talent development could be examined together, by the people responsible for delivering them.

We bring global voices and regional experience into the conversation. We invite international practitioners who have navigated the same inflection points in other markets, and we put them in dialogue with Pakistan’s own leadership. Every edition closes with a practical record — not just of what was said, but of what the sector needs to do next.

Our Vision

Reset is the platform where retail banking in Pakistan comes to hear, talk, learn, and build. A forum where the people running the industry engage at the highest level on the issues that actually move the needle.

How It Began

Reset launched in April 2025 in Karachi; the first conference of its kind dedicated exclusively to Pakistan’s retail banking sector. The inaugural edition brought together chief executives, group heads, regulators, and industry leaders across six panels covering the decade ahead for retail banking, wealth management, digital transformation, customer experience, and the role of branches in an increasingly connected market.

The Journey So Far

Reset Conference

April 2025
Reset launched in April 2025 in Karachi — Pakistan’s first conference dedicated exclusively to retail banking. Six panels brought together chief executives, group heads, regulators, and industry leaders to examine the decade ahead. The central conclusion was clear: digital scale has been achieved. What the sector now needs is substance — better customer segmentation, meaningful engagement, and a shift from access to genuine financial participation.

Reset Seminar

February 2026
In February 2026, Reset returned as a focused seminar — the Retail Banking Playbook 2026–2030 — in partnership with Standard Chartered Bank. 203 senior leaders from 39 organizations examined two defining challenges: AI integration and customer centricity. The room’s conclusion was unambiguous: the next phase of banking transformation will be determined by disciplined execution, not digital access alone.
